Adanna Abakporo, MSW who is a Black/Nigerian-American woman, 1st generation, disability advocate and self-proclaimed "self-care queen" was born and raised in Seattle, WA. Abakporo graduated from the University of Washington in 2015 with two degrees in Disability Studies and Social Welfare. Abakporo also graduated with her Master's in Social Work (MSW) in 2019. Abakporo has two siblings with disabilities - a younger brother who is Autistic and a younger sister with a Developmental Delay which is one of the main reasons why Abakporo is very passionate about equity, disability justice and inclusion especially when supporting her family, her community and other underserved communities. During her spare time, Abakporo likes to read, spend time with friends and family, work out and watch funny tv shows and movies.
